Planning & International Cooperation Bureau Commends Amnesty International’s Report on Negev Residents’ Eviction
Aug 2, 2023
The Planning & International Cooperation Bureau applauds the report issued by Amnesty International on July 28th, 2023, which shed light on the Israeli occupation’s plans to displace 500 residents of the village of Ras Jaraba in the occupied Negev, with the purpose of constructing a residential neighborhood for Jewish residents in a clear manifestation of the Israeli apartheid system.
In the Planning & International Cooperation Bureau, we received the report with great appreciation for its accurate description of the racist nature of the Israeli occupation system, and its call on the international community to pressure the authorities of the occupation to halt their criminal schemes aimed at displacing the Negev’s inhabitants.
Commending the report, we join Amnesty International’s call for the international community and relevant institutions to urgently intervene and put an end to the racist policies and settlement plans of the occupation, especially those targeting the local Palestinian communities in the occupied Negev and all Palestinian territories.
