Occupation’s Assaults in West Bank and Crossings Closure in Gaza a Grave Escalation
August 3, 2022
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Gaza condemns in the strongest terms the increasing assaults by the “Israeli” occupation in the West Bank, the last of which was the storming of Jenin camp, the murder of the Palestinian boy Dirar Al-Kafrini (17 years), the arrest of the national figure, Bassam Al-Saadi, and the beating of his wife and relatives.
The occupation authorities didn’t stop at this point and imposed, the next morning, a closure on Beit Hanoun & Karm Abu Salem Crossings, denying, under false security pretense, the freedom of movement of goods, people, and even humanitarian cases, including the families of Palestinian prisoners who were getting ready to visit their sons in “Israeli” jails.
We, in front of this unjustified escalation, warn of the consequences of the aggressive “Israeli” policies on the stability of the region and demand the international community to immediately interfere in order to stop the assaults of the occupation and the settlers on the innocent civilians in the West Bank. We also renew our call for lifting the Gaza Blockade and putting an end to the aggravating human suffering of Gaza residents.
