On Wednesday, May 31, 2023, a delegation headed by the President of the Foreign Affairs Bureau, Mahmoud Al-Madhoon, visited the Supreme Council of Sharia Judiciary to discuss ways of coordination, especially in ratifications. The delegation was received by Sheikh Dr. Hassan Ali Al-Joujo, the President of the Supreme Council of Sharia Judiciary and the Chief Sharia Justice.
Mahmoud Al-Madhoon briefed the President of the Supreme Council of Sharia Judiciary on the procedures followed by the Foreign Affairs Bureau in dealing with mutual documents and cases. He expressed the readiness of the Bureau to receive a Sharia Judiciary ratification officer permanently at the Bureau’s ratification office, both during normal times and emergencies.
The two parties discussed ways of joint cooperation, enhancing their complementary relationship, and the possibility of developing it through the opening of a joint ratification office in the Khan Yunis Governorate to serve the citizens in the southern region. They also discussed commencing the preparation of the office as soon as possible.
Shiekh Hassan Ali Al-Joujo emphasized the importance of strengthening the relationship between the Sharia Judiciary and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in order to achieve the principles of civil peace and societal security.
