The Ministry of Foreign Affairs held on Tuesday morning, November 8, 2022, a training meeting for the employees of crossings about the mission of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) in the presence of Dr. Ahmad Daloul, Director of Diplomatic Training at the Ministry, Mr. Fayez Al-Aqra’, ICRC Counselor in Gaza, and Mr. Yousef Al-Yazji, Director of Media & Communication at ICRC.
The training included an introduction to the ICRC, its origins, development, mandate, and fields of work, which was presented by Mr. Yousef Al-Yazji. It also included a discussion by Mirjam Muller, Head of ICRC Sub-Delegation in Gaza, about the immunities granted to the ICRC, in addition to its activities in the fields of weapon contamination, economic security, water, households, health, and protection.
It is worth noting that this meeting is part of a larger program organized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to qualify government employees working at Rafah and Beit Hanoun Crossings.
