The Government Committee to Break the Siege is preparing to receive the 34th Miles of Smiles convoy headed by Dr. Essam Youssef.
It’s expected that the first half of the convoy will arrive today, while the other half will arrive tomorrow.
This convoy of 26 persons of 7 different Arab and international nationalities carry medical and humanitarian aid to ease the siege imposed on the Gaza Strip.
The 34th Miles of Smiles convoy is the first to come after convoys stopped coming to the Gaza Strip since the end of the Israeli aggression on Gaza in 2014.
The head of the Government Committee to Break the Siege, Alaa al-Din al-Battah, appreciates this kind initiative by the organizers of the convoy, and hopes that they will continue to make other convoys to break the siege imposed on Gaza.
The head of the government committee thanks the Egyptian authorities for facilitating the convoy’s crossing through the Rafah crossing and hopes that they will facilitate the crossing of other convoys, in light of the catastrophic situation in the Gaza Strip in the 13th year of the siege.
