The Director-General of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Mr. Mahmoud El-Madhoun received the attorney general/Counselor, Diaa El-Deen El-Madhoun, in the ministry’s new headquarters on Thursday morning, on his official visit to offer congratulations on the ministry’s move to the new HQ.
During the visit, prospects for international collaborations with foreign justice institutions were discussed to help in developing parliamentary work in Gaza Strip, enhancing the prosecution of perpetrators, restoring rights, and redressing the grievances.
On his part, Mr. Mahmoud El-Madhoun emphasized the Foreign Ministry’s role in improving International Relations Departments in the ministries and governmental organizations, as well as, connecting them with the outside world by opening channels of communication and breaking through the siege, pointing out that the Foreign Ministry harnesses its capabilities and potentials in doing so.
At the end of the visit, both parties stressed the significance of enhancing methods of controlling and prosecuting the forgers of official documents stamped by any of the external Palestinian embassies. The public prosecutor is to assign the oversight role of making sure of the authenticity of the documents from abroad to the Foreign Ministry. This is included within the framework of the complementary relationship between both parties, in order to maintain public rights and civil peace.
