The Ministry of Foreign Affairs celebrated on Thursday, May 19, the graduation of 20 trainees from the “Advanced Press Editing” Course, held by Al-Jazeera Media Institute.
During the ceremony, which was attended by MOFA Director-General Mahmoud El-Madhoun, the Head of the Diplomatic Training Department praised the professionalism of Al-Jazeera Media Institute and its insistence to continue the course in spite of the sad feelings over the killing of Al-Jazeera Journalist Shireen Abu Akleh.
The course trainer from Al-Jazeera Media Institute, Amjad Al-Shalatooni, stressed the importance of active reading for journalists, revealing his admiration of the positivity of Gaza journalists in spite of the blockade and the lack of tools and resources.
The trainees thanked Al-Jazeera Media Institute and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for their interest in journalists’ skills development, especially since most of them are unable to travel abroad for advanced training.
At the end of the ceremony, the trainees received their certificates and called for more courses in the near future.
