Al-Naksa Remembrance… Blockade Suffocates Gaza, Settlements Gobble West Bank
June 5, 2023
Today marks 56 years since the “Israeli” aggression on June 5th, 1967 (better known as Al-Naksa), which represented a major setback for Arabs and Palestinians and ended with the occupation of the jewel of the crown “Jerusalem”, in addition to the West Bank, Gaza Strip, and other dear parts of Arab lands, not to mention the displacement of hundreds of the thousands of Palestinians out of their homes and villages to refugee camps all over the world.
Today, after 56 years of Al-Naksa, the aggression is still ongoing, as the blockade suffocates Gaza and causes its children to live in misery and depravity, and settlements gobble a new part of the occupied West Bank every day. In the meantime, Jerusalem faces satanic schemes to change its demography and cover its Arab and Islamic identity. All of this comes in conjunction with daily killings and arrests without justifications or charges.
Besides being a violation of all international laws and agreements, the “Israeli” occupation is the source of all evils and the driver of disorder and instability in the region. Therefore, we, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, renew our call, in this painful memory, upon all the free people of the world to work for the end of the “Israeli” occupation and the establishment of an independent Palestinian state, with Jerusalem as capital.
