International Community’s Silence on Occupation’s Crimes Unjustifiable

“Israeli” warplanes bombed this morning, Tuesday, May 29, 2023, a number of civilian houses in Gaza Strip, killing 13 people, including 4 children (Hajar Khaleel Al-Bahtini, Mayar Tarek Ezzideen, Ali Tarek Ezzideen, Yousef Jamal Khaswan) and 6 women, and wounding 20 other people. The number of victims is expected to rise as the “Israeli” aggression is still ongoing.

The ongoing “Israeli” aggression on Gaza, in conjunction with the strict blockade, will definitely lead to catastrophic conditions, especially in light of the severe shortage of drugs and medical disposals in hospitals. According to a press release by the Ministry of Health, the occupation has been preventing the entry of diagnosis devices to the Gaza Strip for 18 months. In addition, rescue and search teams are underprepared and lack the necessary tools to deal with any war or aggression.

In front of this heinous crime, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Gaza holds the occupation fully responsible for every drop of blood and calls on the international community to stand up to its legal and moral responsibilities towards the Palestinian people, men, women, and children. The international community doesn’t have any justification to stay silent on the “Israeli” crimes, ongoing for 75 years with the support, silence, and complicity of the international community.

In light of this barbaric aggression, the Arab states should stand up to their historical obligations to the Palestinian people and take daring steps to condemn and boycott the occupation and penalize any attempts at ties’ normalization.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs also calls on international organizations, especially those interested in human rights, to prosecute the occupation and bring its leaders to justice for the crimes they perpetrated against the Palestinian people. The time has come for these organizations to stand up against the organized terrorism practiced by the occupation’s leaders against Palestinians. The time has come as well for the states of the free world to stand by the defenseless Palestinian people in their endeavors to establish their independent state and end the last occupation on the face of the earth!
