MOFA Condemns Occupation’s Assault on Palestinian CSOs

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has followed with great concern the assault of the “Israeli” occupation on Thursday, August 18, against seven of the most prominent rights groups and humanitarian organizations in Palestine. This barbaric behavior only reflects a criminal mindset that disrespects human rights and disdains international law. Moreover, it shows the occupation’s fear of getting exposed and indicates the falsehood of its claims to freedom and democracy.

In front of this dangerous violation, we call the international community to continue its support of civil society organizations in Palestine for its pioneer role in upholding human rights, documenting “Israeli” violations, and providing humanitarian aid to the Palestinian people. We would like to highlight, as well, the importance of sanctioning the occupation and stopping all sorts of military, economic and cultural dealings until it fully respects the international law and abides by its terms.
