Fascist Occupation Government Pursues Racist Policies
April 24, 2022
As part of the policy of blockade and starvation practiced against the Gaza Strip, the occupation authorities closed Gaza crossings, preventing people and goods from entering or leaving the blockaded strip. This step is a dangerous escalation that threatens the basic needs of more than 2 million people -mostly women and children- and represents a form of inhumane collective punishment.
The fascist government of occupation didn’t stop at this point but persisted in its racist policies against both Christians and Muslims in Jerusalem. The occupation forces tried to prevent Christian worshipers from reaching the Church of the Holy Sepulchre for the celebrations on Holy Saturday and assaulted them. In Al-Aqsa Mosque, the occupation forces fired rubber bullets and gas canisters at Muslim worshipers who came to pray at the mosque during the holy month of Ramadan.
The behavior of the occupation violates the freedom of worship granted under all heavenly and earthly laws and indicates the racist nature of the occupation, which refuses to accept others. In front of these dangerous escalations, we warn of the occupation’s government’s attempts to export its internal crisis by escalating the assaults on Palestinians of all sects and religions. We also renew our warning of the negative consequences of the blockade imposed on the Gaza Strip, such as the increased rates of poverty and unemployment, and hold the occupation fully responsible.
