The Ministry of Foreign Affairs received on Sunday, Dec 26, a delegation from the General Directorate of Civil Defense, headed by the Head of Finance & Supply Mr. Mohammad Shrer.
Mr. Shrer thanked the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Supreme Committee of Projects & International Cooperation for their efforts in mobilizing the needed support to meet the basic needs of the directorate.
In this regard, he referred to the recent efforts by both the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Supreme Committee of Projects, which resulted in the implementation of two important projects.
In the first project, a humanitarian organization from South Africa donated essential tools to help the directorate provide a better and faster response at times of crisis and emergency.
While the second project provided finance of 1 million dollars, part of which was dedicated to buying essential equipment, while the other part will be used for the construction of a civil defense station at Abasan, along with a fire engine and an ambulance for the first time in Gaza Strip.
From his side, Mr. Emad Matar, the head of Projects and International Cooperation at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, welcomed the visiting delegation and called them to provide the Ministry and the Projects Committee with their latest needs.
At the end of the meeting, both sides agreed to promote future collaboration to improve public perceptions on government services by mobilizing sufficient support to improve them.
