The Israeli warplanes struck #Gaza, caused heavy damages in properties & neighbourhoods
December 26, 2020
Over the night, the Israeli warplanes launched raids that targeted several residential areas in the Gaza strip and caused severe material damages in the properties of the citizens and the infrastructure along with a number of injuries who were transferred to hospital for treatment.
The bombardment took place in Al-Bureij refugees’ camp, central Gaza, and in al-Tuffah neighbourhood east of Gaza city where several public buildings were damaged such as the Rehabilitation Centre for Persons with Disabilities and Al-Dorra Hospital for Children, in addition to damages to a number of schools and mosques in the bombarded areas. The bombardment also destroyed the main water and power pipelines leaving hundreds families in the targeted areas without water and electricity.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs strongly condemns this barbaric act which terrorized civilians and confirms that there was no excuse for launching such bombardments at residential areas which only show the criminal mentality of the Israeli government.
In the light of this dangerous development, the Ministry urges the United Nations and the International Community to condemn such state-terror act against the civilian population of Gaza.
