Welcoming statement for the Women’s Boat to Gaza

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Gaza – Palestine welcomes and appreciates the ongoing efforts to break the inhumane blockade imposed on Gaza since 2007, the last but not the least of these efforts is the Women’s Boat to Gaza mission which already began sailing to Gaza Sea.

The message of those female activists is to spot the light on the suffering of the Palestinians living in the Gaza Strip under an air, ground and sea blockade by the Israeli occupation state, also to show solidarity and to bring a message of hope to the Palestinian people.

The Ministry thanks all those who supported the launch of this new campaign especially the Municipality of Barcelona and the 55 members of the European Parliament asking the EU to ensure a safe passage for the women’s flotilla to Gaza.

In this context, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs warns the Israeli Occupation from intercepting the Women’s Boat to Gaza mission and the Ministry calls upon the International community particularly the EU to facilitate their mission.
