The Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Gaza held on Sunday, February 26, 2023, the graduation ceremony of the “Qualification Program in Diplomacy & International Cooperation”, with the presence of a number of senior government officials.
The Ministry’s Director-General, Mahmoud El-Madhoun, said that this celebration aims at showing MOFA’s willingness to hold more training programs in order to improve the governance systems.
El-Madhoun, also, said that the 200-hour course was held over a period of a year, referring to a plan to improve these programs and hold training courses abroad.
On his side, Ibrahim Al-Za’eem, Director of PALM Strategic Initiatives Center, said that the program hosted competent and experienced trainers who provided the trainees with significant political and cultural skills.
Dr. Ahmad Dalloul, Director of Diplomatic Training at MOFA, stated that the program targeted 21 government employees and included many topics in politics, economy, sociology, and law.
He added that the program aimed at creating government staff capable of marketing and negotiating development projects and signing MoUs and agreements.
Khaled Al-Jerjawi, a trainee from the Ministry of Education, said that he acquired many diplomatic skills, expressing his hope to benefit from these skills in his everyday work.
Rima Matar, another trainee from the Ministry of Finance, stated that she has been through many challenges during the program, adding that she has acquired great knowledge in the fields of fundraising, project management, and diplomacy.
